Dr. Hutchinson is originally from New York but relocated to Arizona from Michigan. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at St. John Hospital & Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan and completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Wayne State University in Detroit as well. He is board certified in Gastroenterology and is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the Phoenix Gastroenterology Society. Dr. Hutchinson is a former Secretary/Treasurer of  the medical staff and former Medical Director of Endoscopy at Banner Boswell Hospital.  He is currently the Medical Director of the Sun City Endoscopy Center and participates as an investigator in clinical research along with his colleagues in Arizona Digestive Health/GI Alliance.
